Veronica Swift

Jazz singer Veronica Swift grew up on the road. Her parents, pianist Hod O’Brien and singer/educator/author Stephanie Nakasian, helped develop her prodigious talent. She recorded her first CDs while still a child. It came as no surprise she came second place at the 2105 Thelonious Monk Jazz Competition, an annual event that has thrust many jazz artists into the spotlight.

After a residency at NYC’s legendary Birdland club, she began touring with Emmet Cohen Trio, Benny Green Trio and Wynton Marsalis’ Jazz at Lincoln Center Orchestra. In 2017, she teamed up with tenor saxophonist Jeff Rupert on Let’s Sail Away, which Jazz Weekly calls, “a swinger’s delight.” Look out for her new record from Mac Records early this year.
