The Dose

April 2019

For a small group, the Dose sure makes a big sound. This duo is composed of Indio Downey on vocals/guitar and drummer Ralph Alexander. On first hearing, the Dose brings backs memories of the grunge era, something the members themselves didn't even live through. Of course, they cite Led Zeppelin and Black Sabbath as influences as well, something all good rock bands do (besides, Downey's dad is Iron Man). The most important thing to know is that this band rocks and doesn't need a bass player to create a full-throttled "beautiful noise."

They started out with a full rhythm section, but one night the bass player didn't appear. The show must go on, so they proceeded without him, discovering the two of them could manage fine on their own. The duo's full-length debut, Saline, just dropped in March.
