SonReal


Singer-songwriter and rapper Aaron Hoffman better known as SonReal started off by recording mix tapes. In 2006 he released Trapped In the Streets and followed it up with a series of mixtapes. He released a mix tape every year starting in 2008 through 2014. It was in 2012 his collaboration with fellow Canadian hip hop artist Rich Kidd that gained SonReal attention for the single, Hometown.


Since then he was nominated for a Juno award and has gained a large following. His music is more alternative hip-hop with some pop elements. The music is definitely infectious and his style of singing and rapping has soul. He started honing his live shows way back in 2008 and now is a powerhouse on stage. He made his debut in 2015 with the EP For The Town and has released several EPs since then. In 2018 he released his debut album One Long Dream, check out the single Repo Man. He was a judge on Canada's X Factor and has just released his latest album, Nobody's Happy All The Time. He is now on tour so be sure to check him out.
