Outsider, real name Sean O'Corcorain, is an up and coming singer-songwriter to watch. He is a multi-instrumentalist who released his debut album last year and since then has set the internet on fire. Born and raised in Tipperary, Ireland, and based in Dublin where there is a bustling music scene right now and with so much amazing talent coming out of that city. He says that he chose the stage name Outsider because of this music scene where he feels at times like an outsider. His musical influences have been Joy Division, The Jesus and Mary Chain, and Bruce Springsteen. Outsider said Bruce Springsteen's "Dancing In the Dark" really got him through some dark times. He says for him Bruce Springsteen is his hero.
He wrote the song, "Young Gods Na Sionna as a tribute to his hero. Although the song deals with how this pandemic and economic crisis has affected many into sadly taking their lives at the river, he hopes that by talking about his own personal crisis it will help some young kids dealing with the struggles of life. He released his first single, ‘Míol Mór Mara’ which was the first time an Irish language song was featured on the FIFA 2018 soundtrack. He released a few more singles until last year when he released his debut EP, Karma of Youth. He hopes to go on tour and play big stadiums so his fans can see them live. Check out this multi-talented singer-songwriter and support independent music and musicians worldwide. Happy listening!
