Oklou

French singer, Marylou Mayniel, better known as Oklou has been making a name for herself in the electronic music world. She grew up in the countryside in France then moved to Paris. She loved what was happening in London on the music scene and has been living there ever since. She produces her own music and uses drum machines, computers, synthesizers, and fun sounds to create a beautiful musical landscape. She has said that her vocal inspirations are Frank Ocean, James Blake, and Jhene Iko. Her music has been described as "hazy RnB" and others say it's Experimental or Ambient Pop. However you want to categorize this talented producer, composer, and singer, it's up to your taste. She composed an original track for the game Zone W/O People and has performed it live with styling by Prada.

Her first EP was released in March of 2018 titled, The Rite of May. Her single Forever was released last October and this month on September 24th she releases her latest mixtape album, Galore. She just released her single from that album titled, Nightime. Check out this talented singer/producer and support independent music worldwide. Happy listening!
