Lauren Sanderson

Singer-songwriter Lauren Sanderson is one of those artists that is hard to pin down to a specific

genre. Raised in Fort Wayne, Indiana, and now living in Los Angeles, CA can run the gamut from pop, hip-hop, rap-rock, and Alternative. The mix is amazing and I just can't stop listening to her.

She started her music career posting videos on YouTube and quickly built a fan base right before graduating from high school. She was receiving a million views a day back then and was also helping young kids to be able to come out to their parents as motivational speaker. Lauren Sanderson says she was influenced by such artists as Mac Miller, Logic, and others. In 2016 she gained attention for singing a cover of Maroon 5's She Will Be Loved and released her debut EP,

Center of Expression. She quickly followed it up with her sophomore EP, Spaces and now she was on the radar of music industry executives after that EP was on Billboard's Heatseekers chart. She eventually signed with Epic Records and released her 6-song EP in 2018 called Don't Panic. She decided to leave Epic records and return to being independent. We are so glad she did. She has played at SXSW and has toured and as an artist to watch well her music lives up to that title. Check out her song, Hotel Room with its mellow keyboard sound. Lauren Sanderson's music has been touted by both Alt Press and Billboard as an artist whose music is cool to get you through the week. In 2020 she was set to go on tour but Covid deterred that plan nonetheless she continued to record and put out music. She just released her new album, Death Of A Fantasy, and it's already gaining attention. Listen to the track Let Me Down with her cool rap and my favorite is SENSORYOVERLOAD. When listening to her music it's like opening up a present never knowing what you're going to get. Each one of her songs is different in both genre and attitude. I love that she has total creative control and it shows. She is on tour in Europe and will return to the States in September. Check out this cool talented singer-songwriter and support independent music and musicians. Happy listening!
