I love the diversity in the creation of harmonies and sounds coming from jazz musicians nowadays. Their mixing of jazz stylings with either adding samples and beats or incorporating other music genres that create some truly amazing sounds. Jazz pianist, James Beckwith loves experimenting with both sampling, beats, vocoder melodies, and using different keyboard sounds to create a musical painting if you will. Born in Leeds, England, and now living in South East London, he has not only been playing gigs but also has been composing and producing music and would love to compose more for films. He has played with some of the best in Jazz and other music genres such as Alan Pratar(Michael Jackson), Malika Tirolien(Snarky Puppy), Mark Haynes(Janet Jackson), and Nubya Garcia.
He studied jazz orchestration and composition at Leeds College of Music and his masters at Trinity Laban Conservatoire. He made his debut this past February with his album, Long Distance in which he covers the famous Pink Floyd song, 'Money'. A song you must listen to and enjoy with its Afro-beats flavor that will knock your socks off. Check out this super talented pianist, composer, producer, and support independent music worldwide. Happy listening!
