When you have a talent and passion that cannot be hidden or denied you then make a choice to either follow your dream or finish college. Singer-songwriter Claud, real name Claud Mintz made a decision to drop out of Syracuse University to pursue their passion and dream. It has paid off and has recently signed to Indie singer, Phoebe Bridgers record label, Saddest Records.
Chicago born and raised and now based in Brooklyn, NY; Claud was part of a duo named Toast in 2018 and had been making music for the past few years but they decided to go it alone. Claud who identifies as non-binary and uses the pronouns they/them wrote songs about feeling like the outsider or as they put it, "like the waterboy on the sidelines." They are the first artist to sign with Saddest Records and already has the music world buzzing. They hope that their album helps people to feel less lonely. Claud has been on lockdown like the rest of the world and during this time has been writing music and creating. A week ago they released their debut album, Super Monster for Saddest Records, and although they were supposed to have toured last year everything was put on hold due to the pandemic. Claud can't wait to tour and be able to talk to their fans in person. Check out this talented singer-songwriter and support independent music and musicians. Happy listening!
