Raye

British-born singer-songwriter Raye (born Rachel Agatha Keen) knew from a young age that she wanted to be a performer. At age 10 guided by her father and her guitar teacher, she started singing at her local church. Since then she worked hard and was featured on the songs, By Your Side by Dj Jonas Blue and You Don't Know Me by DJ Jax Jones. Those recordings got her noticed and her career took off. In 2014 she released her debut EP, Welcome To the Winter, and in 2016 released her sophomore EP, Second.

Dance-pop singer-songwriter, Charli XCX took notice of her talent and directed the video for her song Shhh. Raye was also featured on Charli XCX's song, Dreamer. In 2017 she headlined her first concert at XOYO and was later signed to Polydor records. Raye has collaborated with many artists and has opened up for such artists as Khalid and David Guetta. She has continued to release singles for the past several years and last year she cut ties with Polydor Records and is now completely independent. How liberated she must feel to put out music with no restrictions. This past June she released her new single, Hard Out Here and this week released the single, Black Mascara. She has not mentioned when her debut album will be released but we will let you know when that happens. Check out this talented singer-songwriter and support independent music and musicians worldwide. Happy listening!
