Massachusetts native Niia grew up in a musical family and started her singing career at age 13 and attended Berklee College of Music’s summer program a year later. She relocated to NYC and continued her jazz vocal studies at the New School for Jazz and Contemporary Music. Then she was off to LA, where she met producer Wyclef Jean. After a collaboration with him on "Sweetest Girl (Dollar Bill)," she toured extensively and performed at high profile gigs like “Jimmy Kimmel Live!”, “The Late Late Show with Craig Ferguson,” the “BET Awards” and “MTV New Year's Eve in Times Square.” Briefly signed to Atlantic Records but has struck out on her own again. Her latest release is “Whatever You Got.”
