This six-piece Welch band from Church Village in Wales is so fun that I couldn't stop listening to their music. The band consists of Francesco Orsi on vocals, David Bassey on guitar and vocals, Elliot Bradfield on guitar and vocals, Ben Thorne on bass, Tom Fry on drums, and 'Nanial' Jones on keyboard/percussion. The band says their name CVC actually stands for Church Village Collective
and is named for their hometown. Their music is a mix of good old-fashioned rock and roll with funk, and psychedelia. The band started in 2019 and received quite a bit of attention with their three-part harmonies, tight beats, and a flair for fun. This rock outfit wants to let the world know that they are all about fun, peace, love, and good times. I'm guessing that the Beatles were an influence due to their stage outfits looking like something out of Sgt. Pepper's album cover. Their aspirations are to play massive stages, big gigs, and big albums, isn't that what most artists want? Their cheeky fun demeanor has gained them lots of followers and they are well on their way to massive crowds and massive stages. Their debut EP in 2019 was Reel to Reel and since then they have been selling out their shows. They just released their new single, Sophie, and are set to release their debut album Get Real on January 13th, 2023. They are on tour and I can't wait for them to come and play here in the States. Check out this fun rock band and support independent music and musicians worldwide. Happy listening!
Sophie
