THE JAZZ CAFE

September 22, 2024

Amy Gadiaga grew up near Paris. Now based in the UK, her debut EP, All Black Everything, celebrates her West African heritage. Part soul, part jazz, she is showcasing her considerable talents after graduating from Trinity Laban Conservatoire last year. The vocalist, bassist and singer released well-received singles in 2022 and 2023, and her latest work is sure to keep her momentum going.

Gifted with a smooth and emotive voice, Gadiaga’s soulful expression glides through her songs that her both personal and topical. Social justice concerns are abundant but delivered with a pleasing groove with striking percussion.

A member of Luke Bacchus’ quartet, Gadiaga enlisted his talents for All Black Everything, along with trumpeter Joseph Oti, and drummer Simon Lamb. Hers is an exciting new voice that we’ll be hearing from again, guaranteed.
