Hattie Erawan/Marsh considers herself “Half East and Half West,” as she spent her childhood in Norwich, England and Thailand. Growing in such diverse locales shaped her musical worldview. Finding her father’s guitar in the attic at age 11, she began to write her own songs to sing.
With key influences like Joni Mitchell, Nirvana, and Sheila Chandra, she gravitated toward folk music, but with a decidedly harder edge at times, as well as pop and country. Her richly evocative vocals and expressive songs captivate the listener. She released her debut single, “Paid to Be,” following up with “Grey” and others. She’s been touring the UK and Southeast Asia. We're looking forward to hearing more from this artist.
